Karla Yvette comes from a family of artists — from painters, to actors, to photographers, they provided an environment that encouraged creativity. After moving to Key West at a young age, she became obsessed with the tattoos on sailors, musicians, and drifters that passed through town. At eighteen, she began a formal apprenticeship in Fort Lauderdale and has been tattooing full-time since 2005. While she enjoys tattooing in every style, she is particularly excited about starting new realistic black and grey pieces and traditional work. In addition to this, she received a BS in Biological Sciences from Florida Atlantic University, and has been highly trained in sterile procedure, in order to ensure the safest experience for her clients.
In her free time, Karla enjoys writing, knitting, and exploring the pacific northwest. She is a nerd through and through, and would love to cry about the tenth doctor with you. She is still half-convinced her Hogwarts acceptance letter was lost in the mail.
